Happy 10th Birthday, Wizard101!

Hello Wizards!

Today is a very special day because Wizard101 is officially 10 years old. While the game was created before this time, it wasn't until September 2nd, 2008 that Wizard101 was released to the public. It's amazing to see this amazing game has been here for 10 years. Congratulations, Kingsisle, on such a successful game.

All of us have many amazing memories of this game. Wizard101 has provided a lot of us with amazing memories - whether it's the first time you met your lifelong friend or even deciding a career path. There are many in the community that has done both of these things and more. It's a very special community! So today, I thought I'd list a few of my favorite things about this amazing game.

The release of mounts back in 2009 was a huge deal for me. It was my very first time accessing a test realm and being able to spend over 200,000 crowns (which Kingsisle allowed on the test realm at the time) on all of the new mounts. They only offered a few mounts, a few of which were the broom mounts. Many wizards zoomed to the test realm to see these mounts, which we didn't have on the live server. Mount races took place all over the place! Kingsisle adding mounts to the game was one of their best updates. Today we have so many different mounts, but this shows just how much Kingsisle is improving this game with their amazing updates.

I've mentioned this before, but I'll mention it again. The Diary of a Wizard events has been one of my favorite memories of the game. They inspired so many people, including myself, to have events of their own. There are many people today that events and this what makes Wizard101 as amazing as it is. Events throughout the community are put together to bring everyone together to celebrate the game that we love. It's nice to see all of these events whether they've been here awhile or they've just started. Memories are being made! This community is one main reason there have been 10 years of the Spiral.

There are so many wonderful memories that I'd love to share on this post that I couldn't even fit all of them. I've made so many great friends, especially when I've needed them the most. Thank you, Kingsisle, for creating such an amazing game. There are many people across different religious backgrounds, nations, and more in this amazing community. No matter who we are, what we believe, or where we are from, we'll always be one community. The Wizard101 Community. Here's to many more years of Wizard101. :)

Happy September - A Busy Month!

Hello Wizards!

We've officially entered the 'Bers, my favorite time of year. There are many reasons this time of the year is my favorite - Wizard101's Birthday, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. The Holidays are quickly approaching... :D Speaking of Holidays, I thought I'd talk about a few things that I'll be doing this month.

I've mentioned a few times already that Autumn & I have decided to start streaming weekly! Our streams will take place every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday at 6:00 pm Central. We'll begin our first stream of weekly streams on Tuesday, September 4th. I hope you're able to join us on this new journey! If you would like to access the Twitch Account we'll be streaming on, feel free to click on the "Streaming on Twitch" image above. We hope to see you at our streams. Speaking of streams, we'll also be streaming an event for Wizard101's 10th Birthday.

The Balloon Run is an open-community event and 1-Day Balloon Mounts will be provided to those who don't have a balloon mount. We'll be streaming this event on Twitch starting at 2:30 pm central. We don't know what the turnout for the event will be, but we've planned a lot of fun activities (which will take place after the Run). We hope you're able to join us for this special event to celebrate Wizard101's 10th Birthday. Other Official Fansites will also be hosting events this month, so keep an eye out for their awesome events. :D

One last thing to look out for this month is the Official Halloween Run Post. Autumn & I have been creating contests, scheduling out fun activities, and more for this event. It takes a lot of work to prepare for events like these, but in the long run, it'll be well worth the time. Please check back on Friday, September 28th for the Official Halloween Run Post. This post will provide you with all of the important information about the Halloween Run. You never know... there might be a special surprise on that post as well. I guess you'll have to wait and see!

I remember preparing for the Holiday Mashup back in May! Now that I think about it, that was 4 months ago. When I'm not busy preparing for the other events, I'm going to begin preparing for our Holiday Events. I've already been brainstorming ideas for the Santa Run. This month will be a busy month, but it'll also be a lot of fun. The 'Bers is my favorite time of the year! Let's make the end of the year the best ever! I should get going now if I'm going to prepare for our upcoming events. Thank you all for reading. Until next time, I'll see you around the spiral.

Kingsisle Live Recap

Hi there!

Our awesome Community Manager, Mathew Anderson, and awesome senior producer, Leah, had another Kingsisle Live yesterday. This episode was definitely one of my top favorites for many reasons. One reason was that we could celebrate with Kingsisle because this episode hit over 3,400 live viewers! That's a crazy amount of Twitch viewers, so congratulations to Kingsisle!

One thing that was mentioned at the beginning of the show was the celebrations that would be taking place throughout the month of September. Mathew mentioned a calendar on the show (which was made by the one & only Sheldon from Adventures of the Spiral - thank you, Sheldon). Keep an eye out for the Official Fansite Events that will last through September. The first event to take place is the Spiral Radio event which takes place this Sunday! See more information about their event below:

Sunday, September 2nd
1:00 pm Central / 2:00 pm Eastern
Nightside, Vampire Realm

This episode of Kingsisle Live also featured various guests to talk about their new mobile game, Animal Cove, Wizard101, and Pirate101. These awesome Kingsisle employees were great to see and hear from, but the main guest that everyone was most excited to see was Miss Piggle! It was hilarious to see Mathew bring her into camera view. I couldn't stop laughing for a full 20 minutes. This goes to show that he's definitely in the right position because we know what makes Kingsisle Live amazing is all of the randomnessess. :D

One other thing I got to see that I haven't seen since the early 10s was the many areas at the Kingsisle Live event. At one point there were 21 different areas! That last time I've seen something like this at any in-game event was the Diary of a Wizard events back in 2010-2012. However, I believe this was the largest party to take place in the game. Congratulations to Kingsisle Live on such a successful stream & party... Now, I'm not about sharing those spoilers on my blog.. but they also shared a hint of a new character from Empyrea Part 2. They announced that this next area will be about Female Power! I'm looking forward to seeing what they have planned. If you would like to see this teaser, feel free to click on the link below:

While there was so much more in this nearly 3-hour show that I haven't even shared, I will say that this is going to be an amazing memory. I've never seen so many 9 & 10 year wizards in-game. It was nice taking pictures with them & seeing all of the wizards, no matter when they joined, share their love for this amazing game. This month's Kingsisle Live was definitely an amazing show and I look forward to all of the episodes in the future. If you missed it, they'll be uploading the show to YouTube around next Tuesday. Here's to ten more years of this show & game. Thank you for such a great game, Kingsisle. You have truly changed the lives of millions of people. Now, onward to #20!
