Wizard101: Edward Lifegem Graduates!

Hello Wizards!

I hope you're having a wonderful week. I can't believe we're already nearly done with the month of June. This Summer has been great so far, but it's far from over. Lately I've spent time questing with Autumn's ice and myth wizards. Many have asked why I was so far behind on my life wizard and at some points I asked myself that same question. A month ago, I decided I was going to start questing again and so far, it's been a lot of fun!

On my last update post, we were just starting to finish the end of Khrysalis. With the final dungeon, the Galleries, and Morganthe we decided to buy one of the minions from the Crowns Shop to help us. Sometimes I forget that I'm a life wizard so I'm the healer during battles. I love hitting, but with these final battles of Khrysalis and many of the battles before, I've been a healer. Autumn's myth and ice are usually the ones that hit to defeat our enemies. It was nice to defeat Morganthe because my life wizard has been stuck in Khrysalis for at least two years! We're making great progress so far - especially since we haven't been able to quest for a while.

As many of you already know, after the completion of Khrysalis, we get to graduate! It was so nice graduating on my second character. I graduated a few weeks ago on my main wizard, Edward Wintergem, which was nice - especially before my 8th wizardversary, next Tuesday! I mean graduations anywhere, even in Ravenwood, are huge accomplishments. Autumn and I worked hard to get through that last part of Khrysalis so this was nice. This also reminded me that we get to quest in Polaris, my favorite Wizard101 world. It was a lot of fun questing with Autumn today, I'll make more update posts every time we quest to let you know how far we get in Polaris. Thank you all for reading this short update post! Wizard101: Patriotic March Recap!

Hello Wizards!

I hope you're having a great Monday. A few days ago, there were so many great events in the Wizard101 community: Duelist101's Birthday Party, Pet Central Day, our Patriotic March, and Spiral Radio's Graduation Party.  Each party had a special meaning - getting the community together. The community is truly thriving and it's nice to see that there are so many great people out there bringing the community closer together - whether you host the event, spread information about the event, or attend the event.

Our event, The Patriotic March, had nearly 70 in attendance! This was 40 more wizards than I thought would attend. Though the purpose of these events is not about the number of attendees, it really is great to see that all of you wanted to attend to interact and/or make new friends. We got people from so many different countries! The purpose was to get everyone together from these different countries and remind everyone that no matter where we're from, we can still get together and make the world a much better place. It was nice to do that on Saturday with all of you. Event like these remind me how much I love this community! Below I've provided awesome videos from YouTubers that could attend the event. I want to thank all of you again for attending this event! It's great that we can get people across the world to log into the game at the same time and have fun together. The community has always been a place where many good things - like events, just not mine but all of them - happen. I had a lot of fun talking to you all and bringing everyone together once again. Wizard101: Test Realm Online!

Hello Wizards!

I hope you're having a great First Day of Summer! Today, Kingsisle released the Wizard101 Test Realm for wizards to enjoy celebrating the first official day of Summer. If you're like me, you're most likely staying away from the heat by staying inside enjoying the ac and testing out the latest updates on the Wizard101 Test Realm. I've included a list of updates and my thoughts about them - you'll have to read the official Update Notes if you want more information about these updates. If you decide to check these updates out on the test realm - Report the Bugs!

PvP - 4th Age and Daily PvP Awards

This update was announced on the last episode of Kingsisle Live by our community manager, Tom Purdue, and Wizard101 Producer, Leah Ruben. This update was well received by a lot of of the community and may or may not improve PvP issues that many wizards have criticized Kingsisle about these past few years. It seems 4th Generation is a major upgrade from the previous 3rd Generation PvP. 

Chat - Menu Chat Improvements, Emojis, and More!

This update is my favorite update - since I love chatting. I mean, really who doesn't like chatting on the game? Everyone who knows me knows that I could talk everyone's ear off. I have to delete a lot of things I type on my posts because I know everyone wants me to get to the point - for me it's difficult to do that! Speaking of getting to the point... This Test Realm update also brings an amazing improvement of Menu Chat, inclusion of Emojis in chat (example above), and if you say "LOL" or "lol" in the chat box - your wizard will begin laughing! It's always the little things in life that make life so much better! Chat Channels were also introduced where you can click on Public or Private Chat channels where only you or your friends can read your chat - now that's awesome!

Avalon Fishing - Perfect for the first day of Summer!

There are a few names I think of when you hear of a fishing update. I am pretty sure Iridian Willowglen and Paige Moonshade are already enjoying this new fishing update on the Test Realm! Now, I know a few will be shocked when I tell you this, but I haven't done as much fishing as I should have. I'm even behind on it in real life! I really need to catch up on the simple but also relaxing things in life. I hope everyone who does fish on the game has a lot of fun catching all of the new Avalon Fish! :D -- Blogger really needs to add emojis, I know I'm too lazy to code emojis into HTML. 

If you want access to the Wizard101 Test Realm, you'll need a membership and/or have made a Crowns Purchase in the last 30 days. Remember to report those bugs when you see them so Kingsisle can improve the game for us. It's nice to have most of those bugs squashed before it reaches the Live Realm. Online Safety: Stay SMART!

Hi there!

Today I decided to make a quick but also informative post about Online Safety. Last month something happened that we can prevent, but we have to be willing to spread this important information to make a change in not only the Wizard101/Pirate101 community, but also real life. Today I decided to share one important online safety tip with you:

NEVER Share Personal Information

It is important that you know to always keep personal information such as age, where you live, credit cards, user/passwords, pictures of yourself, and more, private! There's a reason this information is meant to be kept private - please stay safe online by keeping this information private. Scroll down for other important online safety tips surrounding Personal Information.

How do you know if someone is using you for your personal information?

• Someone asks for your user/password information in return for Crowns/Memberships/Gifts

• Someone who seems close to you asks you for something that you're not comfortable with sharing or you know that you shouldn't share online: Identity, Pictures, Location, etc.

Note: Don't feel pressured by anyone to share information that you're not comfortable sharing online. You can keep your private information private and they'll have to deal with it. :) We're glad to have you here in the community and you don't have to prove a point to anyone to make new friends. You can be yourself by expressing yourself - you don't have to share your personal information to do that. Don't listen to anyone who tells you that you have to do that. Keep your information private! 

If someone is "well-known", should is it okay to share personal information?

NEVER share your personal information with anyone no matter how well-known they are. Personal information is meant to be kept personal. No matter how nice or well-known someone may be, you should always keep your information private. As I said above, this information should be kept private and you shouldn't feel pressured to share such information with someone because they're "well-known" or "famous". Please stay safe online by keeping this information to yourself!

What Should I do if someone is threatening me?

REPORT: You can report someone from nearly every social media website and video game. I made this list on my anti-bullying post a few weeks ago and I've decided to include a list below of ways to report someone if they're bullying/threatening you. If you feel threatened, you can report those who are threatening you. Scroll over the list below to find out ways to report someone:

Please remember that you have to report for a valid reason. If someone is threatening you, that is a valid reason to report someone. Reporting is an important way to stay safe online, which is why I've included this section on this post.

I've made quite a few online safety posts on this website. I don't want anything to happen to anyone here so I try my best to share what I can as many times as I can to help you realize that this is an important thing to remember. Online Safety surrounds itself with Personal Information. If you share that personal information, you're not doing what you can to stay safe online. It is your choice, but I want to remind you that bad choices do have consequences. Remember, you don't have to share your personal information and you have the choice to do that or not to do that. If someone pressures you to do something you're not comfortable with - that's a sign you shouldn't do what they want you to do. Please, stay safe online! I've made it a goal for many years to share this information, now it's your turn to use that information and share it with your friends as well. If you made it this far, you're awesome! Wizard101: Edward Lifegem Quests Again!

Hello Wizards!

It's Monday! Okay, it's not that exciting, but we can always make a day great by saying it's going to be great and trying our best to look past the bad and looking at the good. Today, I decided to do just that by making a post updating you on my questing progress! Lately, I've been questing my life wizard quite a bit on the game with Autumn Dreamwalker.

At our events, which you can view all of our future events by clicking on the Events tab above, many of you have noticed that I'm about twenty levels behind where I should be. I'll be honest, I haven't been questing my life wizard as much as I should be questing him. I'm not saying I haven't quested at all because that's far from the truth, I've quested quite a bit, especially recently! Autumn and I decided we'd start questing again by questing my life wizard and her ice and myth wizards up until we hit cap in a few weeks. We started questing at Crescent Beach by catching my life wizard up to her wizards in Sardonyx in Khrysalis. 

We did a great job questing, in between Birthdays, Graduations, Events and more! We're going to try questing even more over the next few weeks to see if we can make it to level 120 before the Santa Run on July 15th. I have a good feeling we'll be able to make it there since Polaris and Mirage are pretty easy. We've actually done a great job so far. We made it to the Shadow Palace and all we have to do is go through The Galleries and fight Morganthe! I've been stuck in Khrysalis since it was released - so it'll be nice getting my life wizard out of there. Well I should get going and I'll let you all know our progress by the end of Polaris. I'm currently level 104 and Autumn's wizards are level 103. We're a great team! Until next time, I'll see you around the spiral. :D

Pirate101: Gold Farming Recap

Ahoy Pirates!

I hope you're having a great Monday. I wanted to talk about a recent event that I cohosted with, Autumn Walker, from Secrets of the Spiral. We had a gold-farming event on Saturday, where we went to farm Friar Sand in Mooshu.

Friar Sand is located in the Temple of the East Wind, North Landing. If you have a group, you can actually make a lot of extra gold all at once. We went through with Doubloons for extra Gold, and four people to get even more gold depending on how many enemies appear. If you don't feel like farming with anyone, you can always farm alone, but it's always fun to talk to everyone while you're farming.

I had a lot of fun and I want to thank everyone who was able to attend this event. We didn't promote it as much as we usually promote events, but it was nice seeing part of the Pirate101 community there. We may have more Pirate101 events soon, so make sure you check the Events Page everyday for new event announcements! Thank you Blaze, Harry, and Steven for attending this event. Anti-Bullying Advice 2017

Hi there!

I hope you all are having a great Summer so far, well those who are currently on Summer break. Today, I was thinking that I should provide everyone with some real thought out anti-bullying tips that the community really needs.

Ignore

If you find yourself in a situation where you're being bullied by someone (whether it be name-calling, smart remarks, etc), Ignore. It may seem too simple and too good to be true, but you can ignore those by doing the following on social media or the game - by the way, special thanks to Autumn for letting me use your account as examples below:

Ignore on Wizard101 or Pirate101

Click on a Wizard's Name, Press the X to Ignore on Wizard101

Click on a Pirate's Name, then click on Ignore to Ignore on Pirate101

Report!

If you see someone bullying someone: threats, slandering/rumors, name-calling, etc. You need to report them to the following Social Media. Remember these things are not okay. It does not make you cool to say hurtful things to people. Even if you see the most "popular" person saying these things, it's still wrong and should be dealt with accordingly. Don't Take Anything To Heart

Remember, whatever they might say doesn't always mean it's true. People say hurtful things online and offline and it never ever means it's always true about you as a person. You know who you are, and if they say things about you. Remember not to say anything bad to these people because nobody deserves to be bullied here. I hope you all do follow this advice! I really didn't follow this advice a few months ago, but now I am! It's nice to ignore, block, and report because arguing with them won't help. They'll only think it's okay to continue. My advice to those standing up for what's right is to be you! Ignore and Report those who think bullying is okay. Remember no form of bullying is okay and I hope the community stands with me to do what's right. Ignore, Block and Report those who are bullying. Wizard101: Dark Fairy Takeover Recap!

Hello Wizards!

I hope you're having a great week so far! This past week has been an amazing week for me because, well for one it's Summer and I was able to host another event to get the community together once more! It's really nice interacting with everyone when we have these events. This event was actually one of the smaller events outside of the "Run Events" that we have during the holidays. I believe this was the largest small event we've had to date! Over 40 people showed up throughout the day to take over Wizard City!

Early Morning Thoughts

I woke up and found one Dark Fairy, Victoria. She was awesome for staying on so long to enjoy these events! There were also other wizards - or Dark Fairies - that logged on to wait for this event. Many of you show such dedication to events like this that I really want to host more of these and prepare some activities before the official event begins. 

I'm going to work hard to make sure even before the event begins, we have a lot of fun! I'm trying to brag, but I can tell these events are getting larger as we progress. The first Santa Run we had was promoted quite a bit and had less than we had at this event. The Halloween Run and Bunny Run also grew quite a bit. I'm going to work as hard as I can to make sure almost everyone has fun. I know we can't get everyone to have fun and that's okay. But as long as you enjoy coming to these and interacting with the community, it'll always continue! 

Activities During The Event

ZAP! I'm sorry, but somehow this picture was kinda hilarious, but also sad! :P I just wanted to say that no Dark Fairies were hurt during this event. I can say a storm wizard teleported and... well the picture above kinda shows what happened. I may or may not be laughing at this current moment!

The activities at this event were actually made up all at once! The first activity was a run around the commons. Well technically we were flying, but you know I call just about everything a Run Event these days! I don't think Wizards liked us flying around taking over Wizard City. The second activity was to swarm the pond and swarm around the fountain in the pond. I think that was my favorite since it really made it look like we were taking over the world! Sometimes it's fun to be the villain, but that soon changed when we went to Unicorn Way for our third activity to defeat one ghost. I feel bad for the ghosts in Unicorn Way but in a way, we were showing the wizards we weren't that bad! 

The Afterparty

After swarming the Commons, we decided to give Wizard City back to the wizards.. Or the Santas since they'll be taking over on July 15th - which you can click on the events tab for more information. We Dark Fairies are nice and we love Christmas in July? :P 

I teleported everyone with my Ice Wizard on my second account to the new Avalon Refuge house from the Avalon Outlaw Bundle (from gamestop for $39). When we got there, I told everyone where they could get this house and that I wasn't being paid to promote the bundle! This house is pretty cool - a bit confusing - but still cool. We had PvP and I gave away a few codes for mounts and crowns. Unfortunately, I had to leave early because I had another event to attend, this time in real life. That Birthday party was a great and had a great time with my family. This event in Wizard101 was also a great event!

A Special Thank You

I want to thank ALL of you for attending this event or if you couldn't attend, supporting events like these. The first event I attended, as many of you know, was a Diary of a Wizard event called the Ravenwood Ball. These events were very special to bring the community together and they are unlike any other event that has occurred in Wizard101. They were great people and very welcoming to everyone who attended their events. 

The community has changed quite a bit since I joined Wizard101 - some are changes that I can't and will not adapt to. There are however good changes, such as many more in the community that we can reach out to. Spreading good messages such as Online Safety and respect to everyone in the community no matter who they are. I would like to think I didn't fail you all by spreading these positive messages in the community.

These events will always take place for everyone in the community even for those who we've had disagreements with. My goal has been and always will be inclusion for everyone. I love this community and I hope you all enjoy events like these! I love getting everyone together to make new friends and interact with old friends who may have not been on the game in awhile. Don't worry, these events will always continue for you! I've found I've been more excited lately about having these for you as well. :) 

I'm looking forward to a great Summer with you all! I'm going to try my best to make sure everyone knows they're important to me and the community. I don't want to bring anything up that has occurred over the past few months, but I will say the best thing to do is to ignore and focus on the good. I'm glad I've finally done that because I'm happier about being here than I was! I love this community! We're going to do our best to continue spreading positive message, respecting everyone, staying safe online, and more of all being inclusive. Until next time, I'll see you around the Spiral.

Wizard101: Dark Fairy Event Update

Hello Wizards!

Lately, I've been promoting an upcoming event, The Dark Fairy Takeover, which will take place TODAY at 3:00 pm CST. We'll be meeting in the Commons, Pixie Realm for that event. Yes, I did it again. Promotion! I've promoted this event a lot more than I thought I would, but I wanted to give you a few heads up over a few things that I thought I should talk about before the event tomorrow.

A Contest

A few of you already know, but I've announced a new contest on my contest page. I'm giving away Crowns and a few mounts for one lucky winner. This contest is a screenshot contest where you have to take a screenshot of yourself in a Dark Fairy transformation at the event. The Afterparty

I will be having an afterparty tomorrow after the event itself in the Commons. The current plans are to teleport everyone to my Outlaw's Refuge house from the new Avalon Outlaw Bundle. This house isn't as decorated, but it'll be fun for those who haven't seen it in person to explore! I also have a few gauntlets and we'll have PvP as well.

However, if the event is larger than I think it will be, we'll teleport everyone else to my dorm room to choose between my Sultan's Palace and Darkmoor Manor. I'm going to try my best to be prepared so all of you can have fun. I will be online early to add everyone early so we can quickly get everyone to the afterparty when it begins.
