New Laptop!

Ahoy Pirates,

After months of waiting, and tons of errors and lag, I finally have my new laptop and I'm ready to plan tons of fun and events for this month! Today I test out my new laptop to see if I would have any problems on the game, not only for Pirate101, also for Wizard101. I had no trouble at all and the best of it was that I had no lag at all. :D I'm happy I can finally blog again each time I level on the game. Today I was on Pirate101 for 6 hours because I wanted to see if I'd have lag in the skyway or anywhere else on the game. I also leveled on a companion quest I needed to complete on my Witchdoctor.

I decided to take my first screenshot of the game on this laptop today and Hawkules really did a good job defeating Typhoon (Typhoon is the boss I had to defeat and then  promote Bat Masterson after I defeat him and turn the quest in). This was the longest companion quest I've ever leveled through! It took me a few hours, but I was a little busy in between leveling. I'm happy I decided to level through this quest because it proved this new laptop I have can handle the game. I don't really want to type up the posts I was planning on making today but I'm happy I made this one. I will type up the posts I was planning on making today and publish them tomorrow. Thank you for reading and I'm planning on hosting my first event on Pirate101 soon so make sure to keep an eye on my blog for details about the event I'm planning on hosting later this week! Until then, I'll see you around the Spiral!

900th Blog Post!

Hi there!

Wow.. I can't believe this is my 900th blog post. Okay.. I've made 900 blog posts on this blog so far! For me, that's a crazy amount of posting.. I started blogging in May 2010, and I'm still making blog posts. I was only expecting to blog a few years but blogging has actually become a fun hobby of mine. On this post, I really wanted to ask a few questions that I think you might be asking but not really, maybe, maybe not. Well.. we'll see! I want all of you to know more about why I blog about Pirate101 and Wizard101 and why I've kept at it for so long!

I'm sure many of you know that I started blogging about Wizard101 with my friend, Mary Dreamshade. Mary created a blog called Pie Loving Necromancer and I created a blog called... Wizard101! No.. I'm not lying to you, it's the truth. I didn't know what the name my blog and just named it Wizard101 only. LOL. I created this blog because The Friendly Necromancer, Thomas Lionblood, inspired me to blog. I continued to blog again in April 2011, after a hiatus. I didn't think I was doing a good job at blogging in 2010 (when I first created this blog) and didn't really know when to post or what to post about. In 2012, I started to blog about Pirate101 and enjoyed every single last moment of blogging, just like I did when I started to blog about Wizard101. I decided to submit my blog to Pirate101 for Official Blog status and was accepted after a few times. I know it took a few times for my blog to be accepted but never gave up. When I was accepted, I was proud, not that I wasn't before, I already had so much to be thankful for and this happened and it added to the list of things I'm really thankful for. I'm so happy this blog is official and I do plan on submitting for Wizard101 this year if they open applications again. I'm not submitting for any fame, codes, or anything like that. I'm submitting because I want to bring the community together this year (and the next few years). I have plans starting this year for doing the same thing for Pirate101. I had so many computer issues and couldn't really talk to anyone on the game, have events, or attend events since I had the computer issues. I know this year is going to be fun and I bet you by post #1000 you'll be surprised. :) I have so many plans this year (of my own, not going to give any hints) and can't wait to share them with you! Thank you all so much for reading this blog, and if you're new to the blog, please know you're important to me not because of the view or follow, because you're part of the community that I love and I want to blog my adventures and have events for everyone to enjoy. If you have a question about something on the game or need help, let me know, I have a contact page below the followers of this blog. I always answer direct messages and emails! Okay, before I make this post longer than it needs to be, I'm going to stop typing now. Now! No... NOW! Wait.. I need to say one more thing.. Thank You

Official Wizard101 Fansites

Hello Wizards,

I've been thinking about something that's been bothering me lately.. The wizard101 fansites.. Do they deserve it? No, that's not the question that's bothering me. All fansites deserve their status, so do blogs, youtubers, wizards, pirates, well maybe not the Armada or Morganthe.. What's bothering me is that a few wizards in the community think official sites don't deserve official status. I have to disagree! I'm not an official wizard101 blog but I do agree that every single blogger even if they're not official *counting those who don't own a blog and are part of the community* do not deserve to be bullied for being notice by Kingsisle or by the community. If you ask me, everyone deserves the spotlight but don't if all they do is bully someone for being accepted as an Official Blog. I'm not going to mention names, but every single fansite on the wizard101 fansite List is awesome and do a lot of work. I don't have an official wizard101 blog but I do have a pirate101 blog and know it's hard work to prepare all of the contests and send out codes, make blog posts, and try to quest at the same time. It takes hard work but I love doing it! I remember one time I tried to stop blogging when questing on the game and I kept taking pictures because I love taking pictures to share with you all on my blog posts! If someone enjoys something they do with all of their heart and take their time to share what they love to do with you, you should be happy for them! If you don't like them, you're not being forced to view their blog. This post isn't just about official fansites, it's also about everyone in the community. We have so many people in the community and everyone should be accepted for who they are/ what they are doing in the community. If you tried to submit for wizard101 fansite and you're mad about Kingsisle being accepted, then maybe you don't really deserve the status. I've been trying for a long time, about 4 years now but I'm not giving up that easy, but that may not mean I deserve the status. If I don't, I'm still going to blog about the game because I love to. Please try your best, don't give up on something just because of something like that. I would like to thank Kingsisle for adding a link to your fansite list and I appreciate what every single fansite owner does and everyone that uses/views their site. You do so much for the community and I'm thankful for you! I'm happy for all of you and hope you get this message. THANK YOU!
