Wizard101 Event Recap: Walk in the Park Event

Hello Wizards!

 I hope you're having a great day! I wanted to make this short little post thanking our amazing community managers for arranging a fun event in the Pet Pavilion in the Greyrose Realm today. It was a lot of fun to see so many wizards from the community once again. I can't believe there were actually 16 areas in the Greyrose Realm (reports of 18 from a few at the event).

There was no way I was going to try to count how many were at the event in Area One, where I was. We have to remember that our community managers are busy and arranging this event was very nice of them, not just saying that. It's a lot of work to put an event together and I'm sure it really is when they are working at the same time! Thank you for the event, Tom and Leala! :D I wasn't able to put a ton of photos together for a slideshow, but I certainly have a few that I'll publish at a later date. :D There were so many blue names! It really reminded me a lot of how many attended the Ravenwood Ball and all of the different areas there were. Thank you again for the great event, Kingsisle!

Ahoy Pirates!

It looks like Edward Cringle is officially back and questing (as of yesterday), and that means I'll have plenty of posts about his questing until Summer. I think you're going to like or LOVE my Pirate101 posts during the Summer. :D Anyways. Let's continue talking about freeing the monkey king from his unlockable cage!

On my last blog post, I had to help the monkey king from his cage. I had to find Hattori Hamzo, the one with the key to the cell and put moon pollen in his tea so he would fall asleep while we make away with the key. I had to collect ten moon pollens around Subata Skyway and then sail to Hattori Hamzo's Forge. He knew that the monkey king was behind this plan, and told us that the cage was made unlockable. Today, I had to travel back to the Monkey King's cage to tell him the bad news. He said the only the way he could get out is to have his staff so he could smash it. He then told me that the Dragon King trapped him in there and has his Golden Staff (that he can use to smash the bars surrounding him). I had to travel to The Lake of the Rising Sun to find the Dragon King. 

As soon as I swam to the bottom of the lake, I had to fight ten Blue Oni's. I can't tell you enough how cool these Oni's are because of their fire! This has always been a favorite area of mine in the game. I was so excited to take pictures because of how amazing they are. I hope Kingsisle would give us one of these as a companion (the blue oni) in another world or something. I can't imagine the screenshots I could have for my post. PLUS, my favorite color is blue and blue fire is AWESOME. Okay... Enough talk about that. This part of the quest wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It was pretty easy because I made sure I paid extra attention to what I was doing. My companions wasn't defeated and that's really a good thing. I think I'm a little bit ahead of where my witchdoctor was when he accessed this quest a few years ago. :D

After I defeated the Ten Blue Oni's at the enterance of the lake, I had to enter the Dragon King's Hall and defeat the Koi that was guarding the King. I believe 4 or 5 entered the battle, but they had no chance against my pirate and companions that just defeated the Oni. I had no issue at all in this as I was well prepared. The only advice I'll give you is to have another pirate to help you or buy a minion from the Crowns Shop if you're worried. Team Up is also a great feature! :) After I defeated the Koi, I talked to the Dragon King and he said that he wanted his Jade Egg back in return for one wish (to wish for the Monkey King's Staff that he has). I found out that the Jade Egg was in the Valley of the Titans. That means the next post will be THE STORMZILLA FIGHT. I've been looking forward to this forever. Oh wait, I'm getting ahead of myself. Ahoy Pirates!

I hope you're having a great Easter. I know.. The last time I made a Pirate101 related post (like this) was 10,000 years ago, or a few months ago! :P I have been very busy with school, but today I had a chance to log onto the game again to quest a bit. I really forgot where I was in questing, so I decided to start off fresh and blog about a quest that I worked on today so I wouldn't have to remember what I did on the game months ago.

The last time I was on the game, I had to find the Monkey King. I found out that he was locked in this Cage by the Dragon King. He would give us the Turtle Ball (what we need) after we free him. The monkey king also let us know that Hattori Hamzo has the key to the cage. I had to sail around the Subata Skyway to collect TEN moon pollens that were floating around. The moon pollen would then be used to put into Hamzo's tea to make him fall asleep until we're done stealing the key to free the monkey king. I have been stuck on this quest for months, and I was so happy to complete it today to get started on my questing again. I had to make sure that I didn't get caught by the sky turtles or sunk by enemy ships that were also sailing in the same skyway around the moon pollen. 

Shortly after collecting the moon pollen, I had to sail to Crimson Dock and travel to Hattori Hamzo's Forge to give him the tea. He knew what we did which meant.. our plan didn't go the way we wanted it to. To make matters worse, he made the lock without a key to get inside! He even joked that the monkey king would be in that cage for 10,000 years. It looks like I'm going to stop here. We'll start fresh from here and see what happens the rest of the story! :D Until then, I hope to see you around the skyways. Easter Bunny Run & Chopper Warrior Gift Run Recap!

Hello Wizards!

I want to thank each and every one of your for attending the events last night. It truly was a lot of fun and really a great way to get the community together again. I would also like to thank Kaitlyn Soulrider for getting both the Bunnies and Choppers together to have fun at the event (plus Gabby made an awesome video the other day to spread the word - HERE)! I have to thank everybody for doing what they did because it was a very busy day, yesterday. We had well over 100 people combined for both events. The Chopper Run didn't go as planned (which was my fault - I'm sorry about that) from a lot of confusion, but I'm glad that we got to still have everyone join the bunny run and have fun at the afterparty event shortly after. :D I hope I can have another event with Kaitlyn sometime again because I still think it was amazing how many wizards got together for these two events. :) I also had so much help from co-hosts Autumn Dreamwalker, Frostcaller, Ian Stormstaff, Fallon Fireblade and Paige Moonshade. There really was a lot going on, as you can see from the videos above (and pictures in the slideshow). The main goal was to get everyone together and we did just that! I think we had over four different areas in one realm which met Autumn and I had to make sure you were able to make it to the afterparty and know what was happening. :) Codes and Prizes were also given away by the co-hosts of the Bunny Run and Chopper Warrior Gift Run at the afterparty in Frostcaller's House and Fallon Fireblade's maze! Did you know that many arrived about 5-6 hours early (sometimes even days early)! These events were a lot of fun and I'm still glad I got to work with the Choppers to get everyone together again. I hope we'll be able to get everyone in the community together again sometime! I hope all of you had fun at the event. I'm glad I could talk to you and I wish I could have spoke with all of you, but I was busy running around in circles. Literally! :P It was chaos on my part, but I don't regret this event at all! 

Events like this do take a lot of planning, especially when a lot more arrive. I really hope to have more events with the Choppers and my other co-hosts, especially this Summer after the semester is over. I love getting the community together mostly because I remember how hard everyone worked together in the past to do the same for the community. I think I took over 100 screenshots for my post too while getting everything together. I see many of the wizards who attended the event also had screenshots to share. I wanted to share many of those with you INCLUDING a few drawings during and after the event. These two events were a lot of fun and I hope you all had a lot of fun too. Kaityln Soulrider from the Chopper Rider Group will be hosting a chopper run during the Easter Bunny Run. We'll split up for awhile while we'll be doing the Easter Bunny Run but will soon meetup again and all teleport to Frostcaller's House for the afterparty event.

As mentioned before, these events will be at the same time. But we'll be going in seperate areas. The Bunny Run will start on the Rainbow Bridge while the Chopper Run will start on the bridge near the Pet Pavilion. We'll meetup again after our runs and will teleport to Frostcaller's House and go from there (read more on the Easter Bunny Run for afterparty details). The Chopper Run will be going in a different direction toward the Bazaar.

The Bunny Run will be going around the Pond in the Commons. We'll stay there for 30 minutes and then teleport to the Afterparty at Frostcaller's Event (read more on the Easter Bunny Run by clicking HERE).

Wizard101's Easter 2016!

I can't believe Easter is only a few days away! Today Wizard101's Eggbert made it to the Spiral with his original Springtime items AND new Baaterfly Pets only in the Wizard101 Crowns Shop for 3,000 Crowns! These new pets are a sheep with butterfly wings (Yellow - Blue Wings, Blue - Orange Wings, or Pink - Purple Wings). Are Fansite Owners Kingsisle Puppets?

Hi there,

I remember creating my ice wizard on Wizard101 back in 2009. This was the very first time I played the game after seeing a commercial on tv about it. I joined the game not knowing what fansites, the community or even blog posts were. I created my blog in 2010 after seeing Tom's amazing website "The Friendly Necromancer". So far I've made 1,300 different Wizard101 & Pirate101 related blog posts! I'm extremely proud of my website even if I wasn't a fansite owner. I have so many memories that I can search for and remember how much I have learned since a certain dungeon I might have had trouble on back in 2011.

As mentioned before, I'm a Pirate101 Fansite owner. I was very lucky to be accepted by our amazing W101 & P101 Community Managers as a Pirate101 fansite owner back in 2012 (and again last June after my break from both games - because of school). What is a fansite owner? Fansite owners are community members that should love the game just as much as you do but have a website that they have spent a lot of time and money on. They should be doing the things that they should for the love of the community and Kingsisle games and not for codes or attention.

Kingsisle has done things that I don't agree with, but I know they listen which is awesome. I've been in the community nearly five years (in a few weeks) and I know they have listened to players after many complaints. Last year, many players have complained about Kingsisle not releasing any upcoming Pirate101 teasers about updates saying the game would be shut down. Kingsisle said on the December Producer's Letter that they would release a new teaser on a Feedback Friday (which they did early last month). Pirate101 is still going to shut down according to those who said they wouldn't release a spoiler. LOL! I have to laugh about that because Kingsisle is apparently hard at work on new updates. I've been optimistic, and apparently being optimistic is not a good thing.

I've been criticized for supporting Kingsisle through tough times. I'm a fansite owner and I'm a puppet. Uh... no. I could post many blog posts from the past that prove that I'm not a "Kingsisle Puppet". I've supported Kingsisle and the community for many years and being called names is really sad. I created this blog before I even knew what a fansite was. If you read my first blog post, you'll read that I wanted everyone to play Wizard101 because I enjoy playing it. This first blog post was made nearly six years ago. I love Kingsisle games and the community even if Kingsisle emailed me today and said that they didn't want me on their fansite list. I created this blog for memories. I am NOT a puppet.

Fansite owners work hard, even if it doesn't seem like it. I don't always have time to make posts with school, but when I do, I try my best to make it the best post or event for everyone. All of the other fansite owners do too. All bloggers really work hard on their blogs just for you to read. If somebody doesn't own a website and makes tweets about how much they love a game, ruining their day because you'd rather hurt others does not mean you're right and everything you say will go. If it did, I'd ask you for the next lottery ticket numbers, really! Please, respect others. It seems that many forget the true meaning of respect. It might seem that I'm rude making this post, but I wanted to get it out and let everyone know that I'm not a Kingsisle Puppet because I love the game.

Kingsisle's New Mobile Game: EverClicker

Hi there!

Kingsisle is going to release a new game called "EverClicker". This new game was teased at the SXSW Gaming Expo at Kingsisle's Exhibit. This new game is actually a mix of Wizard101 & Pirate101 (since it includes monsters from both games), it also includes new never before seen heroes and monsters. I won't talk much about the game since Kingsisle hasn't made the official announcement yet, but I'll send you a link to where you want to be if you would like to view more information about this new awesome mobile game. Support KI! They are working hard and creating some pretty cool games like these. It looks like I'll be busy working on three mobile games and two other awesome computer games... It means a new month AND a new Wizard101 event! :D If you didn't guess what the next event would be or read the title above, we're going to have an Easter Bunny Run (the run will be similar to the Santa Run). What Should I Wear?
If you have a Bunny Suit, you can wear that! If you don't, try to have or wear something Easter-related or dye your clothes to what you think Easter Colors are to you. If you can't do that. EVERYONE is invited no matter what! I hope to see you at the party. :D

Why?

We want to get the community together for events again. I joined the community when events were common nearly every week and I love remembering them now all of these years later. :) I think it'll be a lot of fun to get the community together just before Easter as bunnies! Pirate101 Will Be Updated!

Ahoy Pirates!

I wanted to make a short blog post to let you know that Kingsisle has told us that Pirate101 will be updated on our recent Pirate101 Newsletter and now on Twitter. According to Rob Lovelett, Artist/Animator at Kingsisle, there are updates for Pirate101 that are currently in the works! I don't think there's anything to worry about, especially since Kingsisle is continuing to update things. If they didn't update anything at all, that's when you should worry about the game itself. I think that they'll release a new world soon maybe even after a Spring update to keep us updated until everything is completed? I think it's time to prepare for all of the special surprises Kingsisle has in store for us. :D

Exclusive Wizard101 Teaser!
